Monroe Shock is the best in Shocks

Monroe has a good reputation. The price at Revain was the lowest I could find. If you want to drive more comfortably, you should purchase this product as a replacement for worn shock absorbers.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Not sure

Works well on my minivan

Bought a pair of these to replace the OEM on my Toyota Sienna. One of the OEMs was blown up, causing instability. Installation was pretty easy. My van drives smoothly and I am happy with it.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Questionable senior purchase

Heavy Duty 2 Minutes Included

I used them on a 2008 Sienna. Ten years later, the elders were no longer holding the back door, and I ended up using my head. Easy installation requires no tools. Just look at the ends, slide the sleeve and pull. Both steps took me less than two minutes.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Functionality

CHINESE GARBAGE, BASURA DE CHINA, CHINESE GARBAGE

These Chinese "universalโ€ shock absorbers are designed for different purposes, which means that the fastening parts and the way of mounting do not correspond to the original shock absorber . Cheap rubber grommets break on the case, making installation difficult

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Frequency

2006 Toyota Sienna - Terrible Shocks!

I replaced my stock shocks with Monroe shocks after 65,000 miles. The ride quality of the van has completely changed, I felt like I was riding in my kids bouncy castle! These brand new shocks were worse than my old factory shocks which were over 6 years old. I ended up replacing these shock absorbers with another brand. I always thought Monroe was the "gold standard" for suspension products, and I was wrong.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • running speed

I don't like that the grommets/top mount don't quite match what the .

DO NOT BUY ON AMAZON! THEY DO NOT MEET A LIFETIME WARRANTY LIKE A GENUINE AUTO PARTS DEALER. Wear them to your wife's Sienna 2011 this weekend. The ride has so far been vastly improved over the OEM shocks they replaced. I don't like that the grommets/top bracket don't match exactly what was removed from the van and you don't have instructions on how the grommets and hardware should work. I prefer that the pieces I put on look a lot closer to what I ended up with to avoid guesswork.

Pros
  • Large fit for me
Cons
  • Damaged

Easy to install, works great so far! Update - died after 2 years.

Installation was fairly easy but the gaskets are different from the original gaskets that I removed from my 2005 Sienna. Basically, two grommets are fitted to either side of the attachment point (one inside, one outside), which are then each held in place with a metal washer and nut on the inside. Another thing to consider is that while my original bolts were 17mm, here were 19mm bolts, meaning I had to ask a neighbor for an extra key during installation (my set went to 18). I've been usingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Repair
