REDUCED NOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS -- Twin Technology Active Control System delivers exceptional control under most driving conditions while isolating impact-related noise, vibration and harshness. EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Full displaced valving, tuned specifically to each vehicle, adjusts to road extremes while the larger bore provides more efficient damping control to provide consistency and a smooth ride. CONTROL AND DURABILITY -- Fluon-banded piston provides consistent sealing between piston and pressure tube for better control and increased durability. CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special additives to assist with extreme temperatures and help reduce oil breakdown. IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade. Works perfectly.: Shock

This is a Monroe shock. I haven't changed dampers in years. Seeing Monroe and Gabrielle's names brought back memories!

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • No paint required

Weak Shocks: Shocks, Struts & Suspension

These shocks are worse than the original 90k I replaced. My car is bouncing up and down a lot now. I will shoot and put the original.

Great Monroe shocks

Monroe shocks replaced stock worn shocks. The ride on the car has improved almost like new. Pretty simple build. All my cars (with replacement shocks) have Monroe shocks, no problem.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Unreliable Shock absorber

Exactly 11 months and 2 days ago I ordered these shock absorbers and they are already leaking for the tenth month. What a waste of money. Stocks are better, I thought Monroe had the best quality but I think I was wrong. I bought KYB this time, hope it lasts a while.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Expensive

Be careful when you order this damper, make sure it is the right car.

Ordered this or 2012 Hyundai Elantra GLS Touring with 2.0 liter engine. It is not suitable for this car. I don't think Revane is to blame as many sites refer to the same type of shock. Local auto repair shops also referenced the same Monroe shock. Picture #1 is a Monroe shock absorber, Picture #2 is an OEM shock absorber. Figure 3 shows the bracket that the OEM damper connects to. This mount has a dust cover that can be easily removed and then remove the mount with pliers and an open end…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
