Monroe shock absorbers on shock absorbers, struts and suspension

Shock absorbers arrived very quickly. They didn't come with new screws or hardware. This made the installation a bit irritating. However, after some persuasion with my two pound weight, they rotated and worked fine.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Obsolete model

good dampers in spare parts

I installed them myself without much trouble and improved the handling. I wouldn't recommend installing them yourself unless that's something you're into. The back end was a pain in the ass trying to get the bolts in. (Access) But good beats.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Better than Bilstein

They fit my Chevrolet 1500 perfectly, my truck runs much smoother and is 1/4 the price of the Bilstiens that came with the truck and I still get on and off road Definitely buy these again if they need to be replaced.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I will add later

Big shock! about shocks, struts and suspension

One has been on the front of my 1997 GMC K1500 since 2017. As of today 8/2/2021 it is like new. We live on a ranch, so we drive on bad dirt roads. For reasons of cost and availability, I had to put the Skyjacker on its side at the same time. Skyjacker needs to be replaced.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Quality
