Item was in very good condition, no problems

Item was in just good condition, no problems. In my case, however, the performance was terrible. Driving less than 10,000 miles a day later and both of these already pissed me off. I probably won't buy Monroe again.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

and in good condition. It was as described

It arrived on time and in good condition. It was as described and installation was straightforward. Of course, it helped that the nuts and bolts didn't freeze, despite the car's 100,000 miles. Handling has improved significantly, stopping has become safer. It still drives like a jeep though. I can recommend these shock absorbers without any problems.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Repair

Monroe, always a last resort

Pretty strong punches. I bought a front and rear set locally because I was in a bind and needed something ASAP. It looks like the front right shock broke at the first pothole I hit. If you can order and wait a few days to get them, you can find much better options in this price range here. The Skyjacker Black max and Rancho 5000X cost about the same but are much better quality and great for a street jeep.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • A few little things

I bought them to replace the factory shocks on my 70,000 mile jeep. My first impression was that these were excellent shocks, but I had to remind myself that the old factory shocks were pretty worn out and I was used to a bumpier ride. These shocks provide a ride that reminded me my Jeep was brand new. Anyway, it was a definite improvement. My…
