Description of 🔧 Optimize Suspension Performance with Monroe Shocks & Struts Max-Air MA704 Air Shock Absorber

MAINTAIN RIDE HEIGHT UNDER LOAD -- Air chamber can be inflated or deflated up to 150 PSI to maintain level height with additional weight up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity is limited by suspension, tires and transmission; see owner's manual). EASY TO ADJUST -- Special air fitting resists air leakage and ties into factory system (where applicable) or manually inflates with an air compressor; pair with Monroe air shock accessory and shock air hose AK kits (varies by application). EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Full-displaced valving on compression and extension cycles for a smooth ride. BUILT TO LAST -- Hardened and precision ground piston rod for consistent performance, sintered iron piston for enhanced durability and longer service life and lubricated air sleeve reduces friction for smooth operation. CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and help reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.

Fits cuda 66 best in spares

Did a great job lifting cuda 66. I used to have shock absorbers so I didn't need a spacer. It was a bit tight and I had to modify the flange around the gas tank. There was also a tight clamp on the passenger side of the exhaust. I added a dual exhaust so I can't blame the factory for that.

Pros
  • glitters
Cons
  • little things

Best advertised in Shocks

Used to replace worn shocks on a Dodge Dart 61. The springs were also a bit soft, leading to excessive body roll and the dreaded sagging buttock syndrome. These shocks were easy to install, including the air lines. So far they have done exactly what I hoped they would. Can't comment on durability yet, just installed.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Not sure

nice, but not super mandatory!

is not exactly what I was looking for. Bought as a backup plan for my 70's boot in case the Gabriel doesn't work. definitely not as heavy as Gabriel's and they are a bit shorter. So if you're looking for more lift in the rear, be sure to pick up some Gabriel Hijackers! I returned these. hope that helps!

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • packaging is ugly

It was missing parts and had an extra seal when it arrived

I missed the car show because of the wrong parts in the box. The box came with an extra gasket and no special nut. I finally put them on after making a second custom nut out of a Mopar Crager SST nut that I had trimmed. This should be a quality control issue that needs attention. They arrived good enough and were well packaged.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Good cheap shock absorbers

Easy to assemble, just check the clearances again. They come with spacers if you need to add spacing. They added a lift to my truck when it was loaded. Helps prevent springs from over-bending under heavy loads. I would give them 5 stars but the air supply kit is of very cheap quality and the air line could be a few feet longer. The shocks in the picture are shown in white but mine were black. Not a big deal, but if you're hoping for white shocks, you might be disappointed. Generally they do…

  • I don't really like it, it's ok

.cosmetic could be better

the units work as advertised. Installation was quick and easy. What I didn't really like about this No. 1: Those shock absorbers are not white. they are shiny black. For some, it doesn't matter, but for others, like me, the color matters. I bought them because they were shown white. #2. Also, there are black spots in the shock absorber area, under or around the inflation rubber balloon. Looks like complete crap. I believe this is the paint that is applied after the rubber bladder is installed…

Pros
  • fingers crossed
Cons
  • vulgarity

Used on a 1968 Dart

I found a similar review from someone trying to fit it to the body of a Dodge A so I went with it. They came with bushings on each side to keep the shocks clear of the body and gas tank and both work great. My 1968 Dodge Dart doesn't have much room to route underneath, so I routed the air lines directly into the trunk and placed the inflation valve on the block where the trunk lid closes, hiding the inflation valve inside. They work great and the ride is comfortable at lower pressures (30-50)…

Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish
