Description of πŸš— Monroe Max-Air MA758 Air Shock Absorber: Achieve Superior Suspension with Monroe Shocks & Struts

MAINTAIN RIDE HEIGHT UNDER LOAD -- Air chamber can be inflated or deflated up to 150 PSI to maintain level height with additional weight up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity is limited by suspension, tires and transmission; see owner's manual). EASY TO ADJUST -- Special air fitting resists air leakage and ties into factory system (where applicable) or manually inflates with an air compressor; pair with Monroe air shock accessory and shock air hose AK kits (varies by application). EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Full-displaced valving on compression and extension cycles for a smooth ride. BUILT TO LAST -- Hardened and precision ground piston rod for consistent performance, sintered iron piston for enhanced durability and longer service life and lubricated air sleeve reduces friction for smooth operation. CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and help reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.

These air shocks are scrap. Air is leaking from the factory-welded struts. Do you see the air bubbles in the picture? manufacturing defect. Monroe is sold to Tenaco, which does not support its warranty. Monroe's quality has gone down the drain. Now made in China. Not US. Don't buy them or you will regret it. I replaced them with Gabriel Highjacker dampeners. Much better quality and no leaks. Mad I had to work under my van a second time to replace them. fuck you monroe

Greatly Improved Handling Chevy Astro Van

They have been in my truck for over a year now and they are doing their job. I installed them on a Chevy Astro van and they have greatly improved cornering (like day and night really) and I no longer crash when loading them with SCA props and tools. I've inflated them to 90psi and they haven't exploded yet, although there were no papers or installation instructions with shocks, so I have no idea how much pressure they can take. I generally ride with a modest load of around 65psi and that seems…

Pros
  • EASY TO ADJUST - Special air fitting prevents air leaks and connects to factory system (where applicable) or inflates manually with an air compressor; paired with Monroe air strut accessories and AK air strut hose kits (application dependent)
Cons
  • I will add later

Part not suitable for application

I consider this a recommended part, perfect for my GMC Safari from 1995. But just because it physically fits doesn't mean it's suitable for the application. When fully inflated they did next to nothing to offset the charge I used them on my van. These shocks are designed for automotive use, not heavy duty. Disappointed with my purchase I attempted to return them to Revain. Revain refused to refund my money saying I sent them the wrong item. Revain not only recommends you the wrong parts for…
