Good so far for dampers and steering stabilizers

This is the third Monroe stabilizer bar I have installed on my 2006 Ram 2500. This stabilizer seems to be working great after two weeks of driving. My others lasted a year or so before they started leaking. If you have other front end issues such as: B. bad tie rod ends or ball joints, this will only get worse and put more stress on the stabilizer bar. 4 stars for the price, fast shipping and the fact that it still feels snug and works flawlessly.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Will do

Not as strong as OEM

This is the only sway bar Monroe makes for the O1 Ram 4x4 Cummins. Much lighter and smaller than the OEM that grew out of it. I only changed it because it was supposed to be bad at 190,000km but it's still recovering and seems normal. I have always used Monroe because they are made in the USA. Cheap so I'll try but I'm not happy. The stabilizer itself was easy to install, but it was a shame to remove the old one. The conical bolt is placed on the rod. Couldn't fight back. The heat wouldn't letโ€ฆ

  • Power Steering

'Death Procrastination' Cured on My 2005 Dodge Ram Cummins 4X4!

Dodge Ram 4x4 full size pickup trucks are subject to "death wobble" due to front end wear when the suspension is raised and larger than factory sized tires are used. My '05 long cab 4X4 Ram is a thug with a Cummins diesel engine, Kore suspension and a Toyo Open Country 34. After 21,000 miles I replaced the stock steering damper (it was fine) with an expensive Radflo repairable nitrogen unit from South Africa. At 23,000 miles, serious death wobble began at highway speeds, with the front wheelsโ€ฆ

THIS IS NOT THE MONROE WE WERE GROWN ON!

My wife bought a Dodge 2500 Ram Thunderroad 4x4 Quad Cam, 5.9 Cummins in '05 and we made a deal to buy a large camper and sell our RV when we made the final payment had done. We built a 33 foot Forest River Wildwood Aft Cabin with slides. I figured that at 50,000 hours the truck would probably be ready for new shocks if it wasn't for the extra charge. so I bought 4 Monroe Reflex. Wow, good dampers. a very different truck so i bought a new steering damper. Here is the SC2964 Magnum steeringโ€ฆ
