quality part. -Made in the USA!

Please note this is NOT a Monroe damper. This is Tenneco. Maybe they're doing Monroe, I don't know. However, I installed this on my 13 Rubi JKU and it's a very nice touch. It even has a "Made in USA" stamp on it. Edit 1.0 - ok, just read on their website that they do Monroe. However, I am very impressed with this damper. A little stiff at first, but I got used to it quickly. My factory damper hasn't worn out even after 100,000 km, but the new part is definitely better.

Cons
  • No

The first came in a damaged box and with a crumpled tube. UPS seems to be at fault. To Revain's credit they replaced him immediately. The replacement arrived undamaged and was installed with no problems. One thing I've noticed over the long run is that the piston skirt seems to be just unpolished steel. I hope this isn't an invitation to rust. Any improvement in handling just because of this purchase is incomprehensible to me as I also replaced the dampers. However, I am very pleased with the…

OEM Equivalent: Steering Shocks & Stabilizers

Installed on Jeep Wrangler 15, very easy, just a couple of 18mm wrenches and 10 minutes. Ideal for bearing stabilizers damaged by a boulder. Buy this if you need a new steering stabilizer damper and your Jeep is almost stock (made in the USA and at a good price), just buy a rubber dust cover too (even less compared to equivalent OEM offerings from others). Manufacturer). ). I have 33 inch tires so if the wind blows; Slightly larger tires and crosswinds can overwhelm this unit and I get a light…

Do not buy for Wrangler

I bought this to replace an old shock absorber on my 2012 JK Wrangler. I have owned this car since day one and have never experienced any death delay. After installing this device, I had death wobble 4 times which almost caused a hard crash. I took it to the dealer and they said the only thing they could guess was that the shock was the problem as everything else looked fine. In the end I had no choice but to buy and try another brand as I had a big journey ahead of me. I replaced it and have…

Great replacement for the JK Stabilizer Bar

This part was used to replace a leaking stabilizer bar on my '08 JK Wrangler. It was an ultra easy job that took about 15 minutes. The stabilizer has a straight plug length, but has an increased diameter compared to the old stabilizer. I had to mount it 180Β° from the original bracket to loosen the tire side mounting bracket and prevent rubbing. I also added a black rubber boot using the Monroe SA1997 kit. The old stabilizer bar was useless, I could push and pull it freely with my hand with…
