This part was used to replace a leaking stabilizer bar on my '08 JK Wrangler. It was an ultra easy job that took about 15 minutes. The stabilizer has a straight plug length, but has an increased diameter compared to the old stabilizer. I had to mount it 180ยฐ from the original bracket to loosen the tire side mounting bracket and prevent rubbing. I also added a black rubber boot using the Monroe SA1997 kit. The old stabilizer bar was useless, I could push and pull it freely with my hand with little resistance, so as soon as I got in the jeep to reverse I could tell the difference, especially on a bumpy track. All I needed for the installation was an 18mm socket wrench and a pair of scissors to cut the zip ties on the protection kit. This stabilizer bar and protection boot kit was made in the USA and had a good fit and finish. The stabilizer box was jointly manufactured by Monroe and Tenneco. It was a very simple and very cheap stabilizer solution that gave my jeep good handling again.
