Moog wheel bearing

Very easy assembly. Each box was marked by a different manufacturer. Surname. Same part number. After checking I found out that they are made by the same company. Same great quality. Harold

So far so good: Bearings and seals

I've driven it a few hundred miles with no problems. My only problem is that I ordered 2. They had the same part number but were slightly different. One had more machine work than the other.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Everything OK

Timken or Moog? suitable for bearings and seals

I have bought both a Moog and a Timken and have had both for a little over a year now. This car is my daily driver. I didn't notice much difference between them. But if I had to go back and choose between Timken and Moog, I would choose Timken Soleil because of the rust the Moog bearing showed after a year of use. If you live in the rust belt, get a Moog and use liquid foil or something similar.

Pros
  • spare parts
Cons
  • The list is long.

I chose Moog for a number of reasons but mainly because they said they were made in South Korea and I trust ROKS. When I received them, one was made in China and the other was made in South Korea. Both were the same and the numbers matched, but the processing of the South Korean bearing was much better than the Chinese (surprise! surprise!). Therefore only 4…
