Bargain Bliss

Packaging: Cute. It is quite difficult to remove the sleeve that covers the box as it is very tight. The packaging feels nice and fits the overall look of the headphones. Accessories: Comes with 2 sets of 3 sizes of ear tips (6 pairs in total), carrying case, tweezers and extra filters (not sure what they do). All the instructions are in Chinese, but since they're easy to use, that's not a big problem. Build Quality: Really strong, heavy metal with nice coloring. The cable is a bit flimsy in my

Nuance, openness and clear consistency on even the busiest tracks

So I'm sure you've read most of the other reviews on these headphones because who the heck buys anything these days without looking at user opinion. I'll also throw my hat in the ring, not so much because you'll learn a lot from it, but as a "thank you" to Moondrop for creating such an awesome IEM. So I tried them on multiple sources including the Schiit Heresy amp, the FiiO E17K and the LG G7 smartphone (with an extension cord). They are generally not very dependent on the source. In fact…

Impressive single driver IEMs for $110

I was looking for a very reliable set of IEMs for less than $200 and all the reviews online pointed to these Moondrop Starfields so I decided to give it a go to attempt. Wow. I was a little warm with them at first but after having them and using them every day for the last week or so I love them. Box contents: Starfield IEMs2 rectangular headphones with 3.5 plugs mm cable Semi-hard leather case with zipper 2 pairs of small, medium and large silicone ear tips Plastic tweezers 6 interchangeable…

Cauterizing takes time.

The packaging is attractive. The cable is beautiful and color coordinated. The cable is a bit mic-like, especially between songs. I found it difficult to fully insert the 2-pin connector on the IEM. I used far more force than I normally expected. But once it's enabled, I don't think it will ever be disabled in normal use. The cable isn't as good as aftermarket cables, but it's better than the disposable cables you may come across. The set contains six pairs of black silicone ear tips. Two pairs

Pros
  • There's something inside
Cons
  • I don't remember

I'm not a music lover. I know what bass is, but I can't pinpoint exactly what it does or what IEM stands for. I'm someone who grew up wearing headphones that you can get at Walmart for as little as $20 or $30. I chose the Zune Premium headphones (the ones with the fabric cord). Since the Zune is long gone I have collected as many pairs as I can but now I have the last pair. I saw these moondrops in an offer and immediately noticed the color and the shine. I've never seen headphones with a…
