Perfect fit for Jeep TJ

Perfect fit for '97 Jeep Wrangler TJ. There was a jolt when accelerating in 1st gear. It appears to be a normal sensor that is failing as it keeps moving with the throttle. Easy to install on the back of the throttle body. This part is absolutely worth the Mopar price. I've tried a few fakes that either didn't fit (they say they do) or didn't work properly.

Pros
  • Perfect fit for me

Not sure if it's genuine or not

The sensor worked fine for about 3 months and then failed. It didn't arrive in a MOPAR package, which made me doubt its authenticity, but I needed it, so I installed it anyway. Ran after less than 1500 km. For about $20 more, you can get a MOPAR sensor from your Chrysler dealership, and you don't have to question its authenticity or worry about your car breaking down on Friday and not having another sensor by Tuesday.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • High price

I received the sensor as a replacement for my 1999 TJ 4.0 Jeep. I disconnected the positive battery terminal, removed the old sensor and installed a spare Mopar. The sensor cleared the check engine light and the jeep runs great again. I wanted an OEM part and was not disappointed. I recommend paying a few bucks more for OEM, it was worth it and the price was the best I've found.

Painful rig, worthwhile part

I will always buy OEM sensors for my rig; The one I replaced is a factory Chrysler part with 220,000 miles and it didn't die until after it crossed the water. The original Torx screws are held in place by Loctite and the replacement screws supplied with this part have a red Loctite coating. I dissolved it in acetone and used an anti-seize compound instead in case I have to do this job again in the foreseeable future. After clearing the code, the check engine light went off and the engine ran…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Fake part advertised as OEM Mopar

Very upset to receive this cheap part disguised as OEM Mopar! The package came half open with a sticker trying to hide that it was open by holding it together. (See image) The images provided by the seller are images of the real Mopar sensor, but what you get is a whole different story. If you look at the photos I have provided you will see some dead hands; 1. The red o-ring only goes around the throttle shaft, not inside with 6 rectangular grooves like OEM Mopar.2. The bolt hole bushings are…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
