Installed my CB in dash, custom installed and this speaker looks and sounds great for him. Only lasted a week, then it burned out.

I had trouble hearing my CB because of the dogs, the stereo and the various noises the jeep makes off-road. So I got this speaker. He plugged right into the back of the CB and mounted it near the windshield next to the tweeter. No additional wiring or power supply is required. Now I can easily listen to CB over anything. Works great.

The speaker produces a lot of sound for its size. As I use a Cobra 75 WX ST, I had trouble hearing anything without the jeep's top on. This little speaker has changed that, and it looks good too. The coolest thing for me was that my CB switch box is behind the glove box. That way I could route the cable in and behind the glove box to connect. Now that I'm not using it, I can put the speaker out of sight in the glove box. Since it's so small/light, I also attached two 1" square Velcro straps to…

Well that's disappointing. I took the speaker out of the box and put it in my Cobra HT 50WXST and it seemed to work fine - there was no CB action anywhere near my house so all I heard was static. Stuck it in my Icom ID-800H in the jeep the next morning because I wanted it for that. It sounded better than the built in speaker and I was happy with it. But when I tried to use it on the way home later that day, I heard nothing. I had to hold it right up to my ear, even with the Icom set to maximum…
