give me a river on Oil Pan Gasket Kits

I bought this gasket thinking it would seal my transmission pan well against leaks as it is steel with a rubber coating. Well I don't know if it will work well or not because it constantly forces the bolts to loosen causing leaks. If it didn't loosen the screws, maybe! Others told me the same thing when I asked about this gasket on the Ford forum. Don't waste money on it!

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Nothing

Swamp C-4 no longer leaks

I have a leaking C-4 Trans. I bought a TCI cast pan and the cork gasket went so flat the hex screws were loose. I bought this pad (very expensive) but worth the money. The gasket is very thick and has a metal element inside the gasket. It took about half an hour to boot up. The gasket actually pushes out of the pan, maybe 1/16 or 1/8 inch when I'm done. NO MORE LEAKS! You'll need something to hold the gasket in place while you're trying to attach it to the trans. I used a Permagasket product…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Has worked 1 month in Parts

Gasket fits and seals properly. Drove the car to a lot 5 miles and my kids 15 miles home with no leaks. I was driving to a friend's house 25 miles away in Houston in the 99 degree heat and spotted a small puddle under a car in the restaurant parking lot. Came home 3 hours later and the gasket felt too tight like plasticine on some sides even though the torque is within specs! I encountered a bulge where I could lick and the seal had ruptured! There could be 3 factors: 1. Tighten the bolts less…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Update available
