Cheap and flimsy best for drawing

I bought these stencils to use in my bullet journal based on the price and reviews. I gotta know you get what you pay for. The plastic is so thin it's worthless. It's a little thicker than the 32lb paper I use. Some stencil cutouts are warped or torn. If the return wasn't so hassle, I would have done just that. Buy something else as it's a waste of money. Cheap junk.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • very expensive

Not so great: Drawing

I bought these templates for journals and also for my kids to use for crafts. In less than a year, most stencils are broken. You are very thin. It's also difficult to keep them in place when trying to sketch some of the more complex shapes. I found stronger templates at my local Dollar Tree. However, there are definitely a lot more templates in this pack than in the Dollar Tree pack.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Useless functions

This is an excellent stencil set with many options

This is an excellent stencil set with many options. This is excellent value for all the options you get with the set. I was a little overwhelmed with all the choices and will probably be more careful about buying a set in the future that only has the options I was looking for the most. There are a few reeds that I will never use with this set. I bought it to use for my bullet magazine. Stencils flex a bit when tracing because if their weight - if you're looking for a durable stencil, it…

Good but not perfect: Drawing and Writing Aids

Good price for 20 stencils. The plastic is flimsy: the upside is that they're easy to carry around in a magazine, but the downside is that they can be unreliable with repeated use. Four of them had one or more places where the pattern was cut incorrectly or not at all; the template cannot be used in these positions (e.g. compare the lower right corner, where the whorl is missing, with its symmetrical opposite, which is correct). This would be a disappointment to a buyer who wanted the stencils…

  • Regular Price
Cons
  • I'm Worried

You get what you pay for

The stencils are not strong so the cuts will move when you press to trace them. The ad also says ballpoint pens will work, but I use a thin marker and can't pierce the paper in many designs; Ball points are even more limited. The twenty template cards have many repetitive patterns and waste of space. I'd rather see more than a series of numbers and letters rather than dozens of hearts and stars (many of which are the same size and shape). Two stars instead of one because I wasn't expecting much

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Very good!

I bought these for journal and they work really well! A little thinner than I expected but they still work very well and easily fit between the sides of my bujo allowing me to carry more than one or two on the go. If you're used to thicker ones I'd suggest being careful with them the first few times you use them until you're okay - they won't snap (haven't snapped yet and I can be pretty). definitely when I stencil) but they will bend. I use markers with them and enjoy the stencil results. It…

This is the perfect bullet journal!

I took a chance and was surprised by some of the negative reviews. I've worked as a designer for postcards and scrapbooks and they are as good as many of the items sold in these stores. They are lightweight to make them more portable. Yes, that means they're a bit more fragile, but it's worth the trade-off. I keep mine in bubble wrap with a backing for protection. They are designed to be used with a pencil and then the lines are applied in ink. I had no problem editing even the smallest…

Pros
  • Drawing and Writing Aid
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

But good for the price.

Great template set for the price. There's a wide range of shapes, frames, and icons to choose from, so no complaints. But the stencils themselves are fairly cheaply made. Some of the cut outs weren't quite finished, so the plastic parts are still hanging halfway. Some of the outlines are jagged and not cleanly cut. However, my biggest complaint is that the plastic is far too flimsy. You REALLY need to hold the stencil while using it or it will bend and roll on you and mess up what you are…
