Installed in 2014 F150 8.8 RWD, this gear is FAT, you need a knurled spider, if you don't have a knurled spider, you need to grind the teeth of the gear to reset the spider.

Very Good Gear Set - Spares

I spliced this gear set (4.30) into my 03 Mach 1 with Ford installation kit and Ford LSD rebuild using Royal Purple 75w90 and friction modifier and it makes no noise when running. The gear set runs very smoothly and the installation went perfectly.

Loud, I mean annoying

Upgrade*** I had a Ford Performance differential fitted, we used the same bearings and WOW that's great! Smooth and quiet. A Ford transmission in a Ford body, who would have thought? Drive gears are louder than a dented old hydrostatic tractor. Squeaking when accelerating and decelerating. It's 4:10, but still. And before you say it I've been very careful with them, a couple of short slow heat cycles and they've been tuned by a seasoned gearbox technician with over 30 years of experience. In…

Very nice gear set: Replacement
