Terrible Performance: Avoid This Steering System

Based on my experience, this automotive part is a complete waste of money. The supposed "light bearing" feature doesn't compensate for its poor precision and tendency to get stuck. The only pro is its easy installation, but that hardly makes up for its subpar performance on the road. Save yourself the trouble and purchase a different steering system for your performance car.

Pros
  • Durable construction with high-quality materials that can withstand extreme conditions.
Cons
  • Difficult to install without proper tools and experience.

Motive Gere is a good company.

part originally from Motive Gear was good. But Revain sent me the returned product. Motive Gear sent me the missing part the next day. 5 stars for Motive Gear and 2 stars for Amazon.

Pros
  • rack and pinion
Cons
  • sparse instructions

Used on my GM 8.625

I used this on my 02 Trailblazer with a GM 8.625 in the rear. Koyo's bearing is fine, they say, Koyo now owns Timken Bearings. The quality looked good and the dimensions were the same as the Timken I picked up. I prefer to use a Yukon Gear & Axle #SK CSGM8.5 Ferrule Eliminator instead of the old style ferrule. Time will tell if everything holds up.

Pros
  • Stock
Cons
  • Pretty ok
