Motor Ceiling Capacitor CBB61 5 Wire Review

I had a 14" fan that wasn't working. An electrician would charge hundreds of dollars to install a new fan. I knew it was too big for me to keep the old one safe So I decided to refurbish a 23 year old Harbor Breeze Worked great and wasn't too heavy I would recommend replacing the switch while you're at it I broke mine by replacing the old capacitor removed.

I have two 10 year old fans that were fussing...one was only running at low speed, the other at only medium speed. Looks like local stores don't have this model of condenser... I actually had a red, green and brown wire in the original Hunter fan but followed the new capacitor's diagram and connected red to red, brown to green and purple to brown. My high speed is back and I can finally feel good air movement at altitude. The medium and low speeds worked well, but the high speed got to the point where it was spinning fast but ended up at a speed equal to or slower than the medium. 2 stars for easy installation. It takes a healthy fear of electricity, a soldering iron or crimping tool, and patience to watch a few YouTube videos.
