Don't install it backwards.

This is a Solenoid Valve. You still get the Check Engine light if you install it backwards. Ask me how I know. Rschunimagu. At the same time, the evaporator flow sensor was replaced. It could be both.

Pros
  • Solenoid Valves
Cons
  • Expensive

One of those ugly and overpriced essentials.

Before you spend money on a new component like this, try a forum on your car. This is an OEM replacement for a range of vehicles. Of course I got the MAF and such a few weeks after purchase to fix the associated fault code. Parts from a forum member, and there, at the bottom of my $75 bag, was another perfectly good vape canister purge solenoid. This new one is less overpriced than a number of alternatives.

Pros
  • Canister Cleaner Control
Cons
  • Some Problems

I expected better from OEM parts.

I bought this to fix the evaporator code on my truck. The original valve ran 200,000 miles and wasn't completely tight (it felt like there was only a little bit of vacuum going through it even when it was closed). I bought a Motorcraft valve thinking it would be the most reliable option. I installed this valve but still get a high evaporator flow code sometimes. I've checked the valve and vacuum lines repeatedly but haven't found any leaks and every time I've checked the valve it's been…

Pros
  • Exhaust & Emissions
Cons
  • Having trouble
