Motorcraft EC 743 Oil Filler Review

Fitted to a 2001 Ford F250 with V10 engine. Both stores near me had a part number that didn't match. Ordered it here and it fits perfectly. Would buy again.

Fits and works great on my 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII, the original cap did not close properly and was damaged by acid from being deposited on the battery during an oil change. The new oil cap fits snugly onto the valve cover as it should.

This was an easy and inexpensive replacement for a broken cap I've had with me for a few months. I bought it from the Revain camp. That it was also part of Motorcraft was a pleasant surprise. The only difference from the stock oil filler cap was the lack of the specified oil viscosity.

Loved getting original Motorcraft parts! My 1999 Mustang had a cracked oil cap. The innards that snap (like some gas plugs) and allow you to unscrew them are unhooked lol. I had to remove it with a couple of vises. This new one fits and looks great in the engine bay with fresh yellow lettering. I am very glad that I was able to find Ford parts.

My Mustang's oil filler cap broke years ago and I never gave it much thought. As I was cleaning a few parts in the engine bay, I figured a new oil cap would improve the overall look. It definitely is! The local Ford dealership naturally wanted an astronomical sum for this part, but Revain offered the OEM gas cap I was looking for.

This cap is just as good as the original. And the original cover spring is broken. So what if there are no more raised lettering. But I'm glad someone said something. You never know what you're going to get when you buy parts after the car is about a quarter of a century old. It was money well spent. I'm so glad I have a good hat so I don't have to fight to take my hat off anymore.

I'm sure it sounds funny, but I've dealt with "half" oil caps since I bought a used truck four years ago. After all, the half I had was the important part, the thread that screws into the oil filler tube, it just didn't have a handle. Luckily I service my cars myself because nobody could find out where the oil filler cap is (there is no cap with a yellow mark). The only thing I regret about this purchase is that I didn't take the time to buy it sooner. .

Good product Perfect fit for my 1994 Ford Thunderbird LX 4.6L V8. The oil pressure sensor has unexpectedly dropped to a low level (L). I took the chance and replaced the oil level sensor because some oil leaked out at this point. The oil pressure has risen to 25%. Not yet returned to the central (NORM) mark of 50%. Oil drain plugs tightened, the pressure rose a little more. Not average yet. Put on the new oil cap, voila, the oil pressure gauge is back to NORM. Thank God. Dodge the bullet. Job…
