You can never go wrong with stocks!

A fairly simple item. It comes in a box as shown in the picture, it is not wrapped in plastic but never was. Looks nice! Inexpensive and designed for regular, blended or fully synthetic oil. It even had oil change instructions on a small tab inside. A nice touch for a budding auto mechanic. This is a genuine and recommended Ford product. It may not always be made in the USA, but it's for an American brand.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Available in white only

Made in USA OEM part but no box

I love that I can get an OEM filter from Revain for a good price and that unlike some other Motorcraft filters this filter is still in is made in the USA but I don't (I don't like the fact that it's shown in an OEM box but comes without one). (And I bought it from Revain.com, not one of their marketplace sellers). In the future I will choose to purchase this filter from a certain major retailer that I have found to sell it for the same price - in an OEM box.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Modernity

High quality filters!

Motorcraft oil filters are among the finest in design and manufacture and are very inexpensive. I've taken apart most major brands' filters to inspect the interior and they have proven to be excellent. If you can use them on non-Ford vehicles as well, you're better off than most non-OEM filter designs you can find at your local parts store. They are even better than some OEM brands. Part of their appeal is that they allow high pressure flow from the top of the filter rather than from below…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No instructions

Disgusting quality inside.

I've always used M1 oil filters, but I was running low on my inexpensive supply and didn't want to pay $10 for a filter. Purolators, Fram have always had bad reviews and they have always had a good reputation so I gave one a try. After being cut with an exhaust pipe cutter after about 4,000 miles, the element cracked. I'm not sure if it was at or near the glue line. But broken top to bottom, meaning there isn't much filtering. I also tried Ecoguard which is very cheap. It has a nice thick body…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Out of fashion

You know the old saying when it seems too good to be true?

Purchased for 2015 Ford Fusion with 2.0L Ecoboost engine. Due to the price of this filter I was skeptical due to the plague of counterfeit Motorcraft/Ford parts at Revain. However, the product page said it was sold by "Motorcraft" so I figured it should be legal. If so, then the quality control is terrible. When I wanted to install the filter, I wound it by hand about 3 turns and everything went fine and easily. I then started using my short handle ratchet and filter bushing (up to the handle)…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • I will be silent
