Simple update for my 2004 6.0 Powerstroke.

Installed with 6.4 Oil Pan to improve transmission oil filtration on my 2004 6.0 Powerstroke. Very easy upgrade and easy to do.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Repair

Doesn't fit 6.4 as said it would fit

Said it would fit my 6.4 PowerStroke. But it's too thick. The abdominal shell does not sit flush. Now I can't send it back because it's covered in gear oil.

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Excellent upgrade to 6.0 diesel with automatic transmission.

After flushing my Ford 6.0 automatic transmission with Mercon SP fluid, I decided to upgrade the oil pan to 6.4 with a better filter instead of the "grid". The filter looks much better and goes well with the oil pan.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • It was possible to choose a newer model

Factory part, factory assembly.

Factory part, perfect fit and packaged to avoid dirt during shipping. The installation isn't bad, but you do have to remove the transmission pan. Not difficult, but be prepared for liquid dripping everywhere. I gave "Presentation" 1 star because you can't see it.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Some defects

Stock strainer and bypass filter seems to work great on early torque changes - mine is well over 200k and still runs like a champ. But I figured if Ford decided to improve on the design, why not add it retrospectively? Especially since everything has to be deleted for a change anyway. Some people remove the original bypass filter entirely, I just replaced it and left it as is. The new full flow filter is deeper, which requires a new deeper pan. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O0OUL6. It…
