Works as intended! Redesigned with thermostat housing gasket.

Works as intended! Redesigned to accept a thermostat housing gasket on both sides of the flange instead of the old style with a separate gasket that always leaked. This one doesn't leak!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Crumpled

OEM Satisfaction with Thermostats

OEM Motorcraft makes Ford trucks happier than perhaps the superficial aftermarket. More expensive than aftermarket, but you don't have to worry about it breaking after three and a half minutes. A little tedious to assemble but the quality is top notch. Installed on a 1999 F-250 Super Duty 7.3 Diesel.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Expensive

I can't be wrong Best spare parts

Perfect fit. I bought a used truck and am not sure about the previous thermostat but my fan clutch engages more often when pulled on this one. But not a deal breaker. It's much better to use OEM parts every day. All in one pad is amazing. No leaks. At the same time, the body has changed.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Negative impression

Improved part With gasket built into thermostat

Improved part, no gasket required, although water pumps come with a gasket for T-Stats without a gasket built in. Too bad I didn't have access to it 11 years ago when I last changed my water pump! No leaks like generic types!

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Slightly dented

If you have a Ford with a 7.3 liter engine, you need this thermostat!

My local auto parts store had a lousy gasket and no exhaust valve. It was also stamped 190* but didn't open until 210*. This thermostat comes with a built in gasket and opens to the expected 190*. In addition, the exhaust valve helped get rid of the air accumulated in the system.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Easy install, quality part, much better with integral gaskets

If you need a thermostat for your 1999-2003 Ford 7.3 then this is the place for you. I've been driving with a bad thermostat for three years and after a very cold ride I decided it needed to be replaced asap. Easily replaceable and does not require additional seals. Also, I would recommend buying a new housing (Motorcraft RH63). If you have an upper radiator hose that goes through the serpentine belt, it's time to replace it with a wraparound one (Motorcraft KM4351). .) Spatula Flat Head…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable
