Ignition Control Switch Review

Fixed an ignition issue that was causing fans, lights, etc. to cycle on and off. I have a lot of keys on my keychain. After 22 years the switch is worn out.

This part solved my loose ignition problems when my power windows and clock were turned off and the fuel gauge went to zero. A light press turned off the ignition. Very dangerous on the road. Now everything is fixed.

His motorcraft, after replacing 3 Chinese ignition switches, the last of which was new, went through 5 starts and almost caught fire in the steering column. Luckily, I removed the casings from the pillar and red-hot molten fragments fell onto the carpet. So Motorcraft, even though it costs more, hasn't let me down yet. 1985 Ford Mustang GT

Picture in description shows new fasteners included. I ordered it because I thought the new mounts in the kit would justify the high price. But the part I received was missing the new fasteners. According to the Ford shop manual, these are "broken head bolts". The existing ones will need to be drilled out and *re* used to install the new switch. You cannot reuse old fasteners. I didn't know if I had a special open box or what so I sent the part back for a refund.
