Motorcraft SW5620 Switch: Optimal Performance for Your Vehicle Review

This is not a replacement for the Door Jamb Sensor. Ford tech says it's for under the hood. Thanks Obama, well I mean Amazon.

This switch is an under hood switch located on the passenger side of the washer fluid reservoir, not an in door switch as described. The description of this part needs to be corrected so that people don't confuse it with another part. If you have a door ajar light, you'll need an AWD door lock assembly, which is about $100 each if you get a Dorman unit.

This is for the hood not the doors. Mounting plate (included) corresponds to the original. Works flawlessly. Revain really should correct the description. This is NOT a "door lock relay". Bad reviews actually reflect Revain's fault, not the product itself.

For the price it was easy. The alarm in my 2005 Ford Escape sometimes went off for no reason and after I replaced it for $5 it still didn't work. It would drive me crazy and I swear I would always go to the bathroom or sleep or do something if I couldn't run to my front porch to turn off that stupid alarm before my neighbor's dogs started barking. No longer. Best $5 I've spent in a long time, loading parts took less than 10 minutes
