Good replacement part for my 2012 Ford Fusion

The only thing to note is that this has all the black/dark gray wiring which does not match the factory installed wiring harness. Be smart and color them yourself as you go and you will be fine.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • nothing

Worked like clockwork

Product arrived as expected. The butt connectors were a bit tight for routing on the mounting wires. The shrink wrap for the butt connectors was of good quality. If you don't have a crimping tool, use a crimping tool. Went like clockwork. I estimated the length of the wiring.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Some issues

Wiring appears to be aluminum coated rather than copper plated

Item is exactly as pictured and fits my Ford Fusion perfectly. Slightly disappointed that the wiring is plated in aluminum rather than copper. But it fits and works well, so it deserves a five star rating. Update: As of November 12th, 2018 everything still works perfectly.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons

Everything you need to replace the connector is included

Really appreciate that the kit comes with butt connectors and shrink wrap to connect to existing wiring. Great replacement, the locking tab was too short to fit the plug I bought with it. (AC heater with GooDeal fan motor resistor.) Not sure if the problem is with the connector on the cable or the contact area on the resistor.

Pros
  • Done
Cons

Solid reliable performance

Aside from the fact that the wires are thicker than in my 2011 Ford Fusion SEL, I have NO issues with them. I've been running it for 6 months, driving Uber and Lyft and running the AC all the time. Now I've owned it for two full years and it's still reliable. The wires are longer than I expected, which was actually an advantage as I could tuck them into the floorboard next to the fire wall so people wouldn't get their feet caught on them. The connector is durable and well molded from ABS…

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • boring packaging

Worked for my 2011 Fusion

This worked great in our 2011 Fusion. I'm not sure why Revane said it wouldn't fit in my car? It perfectly matches the fountain resistance. Installation sucks, but I guess there's no way to avoid the pain. I soldered and shrunk the joints twice. I also replaced the fan. Overall I spent about $230 on parts and it took just under 2 hours to install. I wish the wire colors and sizes matched the car wiring harness, but it's easy to find out. Hopefully it doesn't crash again anytime soon as the…

Great solution to Ford Fusion fan motor problem

Works great. I have a 2012 Ford Fusion. The fan resistor has failed. I replaced the fan motor and fan motor resistor and the air conditioner worked again. About a year later, the fan motor resistance (BMR) started doing the same. I replaced the BMR again and it only took a week. It turned out to be a burned connector. It appears to be a Ford Fusion issue. Some fans output the wrong amount of current, causing the BMR and connector to burn out. This time I replaced the motor, BMR and cable…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Will not fit all

Definitely the highest quality kit you can buy

Yes, it's a lot more money than others, but it's worth it. Typical aftermarket connectors (Dorman etc) which tend to have some cable spacing, smaller wire gauges and cheap ferrules if any. This is a complete kit that includes: pre-wired connector, equivalent gauge wire, bare heat shrink tubing and instructions. All wires are of the same gauge, which is the diameter of the largest wire in the original bundle. The crimp is a high quality, thick, non-insulated butt joint. Insulation is heavy gauge

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
