What about the short cable

If the cable was 30 cm longer, 5 stars. I do not understand. Someone saves 2 cents each? Or. Make the earphone cord shorter and the thicker part longer. It would be great if it came with a detachable ear clip/cable but don't really complain about that. Possibly a future feature. Again, I wouldn't expect any other luxury unless they can make the cord 1ft longer. Functionally it seems fine.

Excellent sound quality

Excellent sound quality. He speaks and hears very clearly. I love this volume control. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I want the earbuds to be different sizes. I have small ears and they hurt with a big earbud. I bought the Motorola microphone earphones and the Secuda microphone earphones and had to return the Secuda microphone earphones because of bad sound quality.

  • Free for educational purposes

  • Small change

Works with my MH230R. but the mic position is slightly offset

Worked great with my MH230R radio and was a decent price. My main complaint with the product is that the mic portion of the earbud is so unusually long that it hangs near my stomach (mine is 5ft 7in) so you end up pulling it to your mouth every time you use it but on the other hand hand you also have to hold down the button to use it anyway.I don't really care because I use it more for listening than talking so I'll find out.The overall length of the cable is ok since i usually have a walkie…

Great for headsets and microphones

I bought this to have my own set of headphones for my church's deaf system. I like these headphones because they are regular headphones without the mics, volume controls etc found on others. The only downside (which is a feature of the church receivers and does not affect this product in any way) is that the 90 degree connector does not fit fully into the receiver. So I bought an adapter from Revain to use the extension cord (Monoprice 107126 3.5mm stereo jack to 2.5mm stereo jack, gold…

I had to change the connector to fit the Motorola radio

. I was wondering why the radio goes into a weird lock mode where you can no longer use it. I had to turn the radio off and on again. Even a slight movement of the plug (which is inserted into the radio) can render the radio unusable. I noticed that the plug was not fully inserted into the wireless headphone jack. The problem is that there was too much rubber around the fork, which did not allow a good "plant”. I used an Xacto knife and cut off the rubber to give the fork a snug fit. No more…

Looks like a new design is needed

I bought these to use with walkie talkies while hunting with friends. Of course, I didn't want to hear any noises from the radio that might startle the animals. For my purposes, this product works as intended. As already mentioned, the handset slips out of the ear quite easily. So if you move around a lot it will most likely pop out. The clip that attaches to your clothing stays in place, but it's a little awkward if you have it under your jacket and trying to attach it to your collar…

The quality is good but could be better.

Superb Motorola quality combined with the TA280's excellent volume levels (plus control) makes it suitable for use even in crowded and noisy environments. Its ease of use and stealth make it an invaluable addition to Talk Abouts, but there's room for improvement. My biggest complaint is that the TA280/289 doesn't let you adjust the volume of the beeps (ring tones/menu tones/etc.). This creates very annoying loud noises when this earbud is only about an inch from the eardrum. The TA280/289 DO…
