Motorsports 2017 2018 Duramax Billet Housing Review

Put this on my 2018 GMC Duramax. The built in drain is way better than the cheap junk originally on the truck. Aluminum will not stick to the threads of the filter housing. Good product!

Fits perfectly and replaces the OEM cover. I've read on social media that a lot of OEM covers break. I bought it so I wouldn't have this problem. This new one has some weight and thickness which makes me feel comfortable knowing I won't have a potential breakage! There are cheaper ones made "elsewhere". I chose this for my $65,000.00 L5P. duramax

Right now I'm kicking myself for jumping on the first aluminum filter housing I found without doing any research. This is not a blow to the company but a warning to others to do a minimum of research before hitting the buy button. Very similar cases can be found on eBay for less than half the price. Too much pain to take off and come back at this moment but I've learned my lesson. It is good quality and much better than stock. However, it simply lacks value compared to others.

I wanted to wait until I went through two fuel filters before writing a review. This product is made to last. It is very durable. After 10,000 km there is no leak. Looking at the old filter shows that it is perfectly sealed. It is sewn perfectly. The small drain plug is a big plus. You can drain the fuel before removing the case. The body is tight. I actually had to use a lever to unscrew it - a hollow tube that fits over my ratchet. This fuel filter housing will last the lifetime of the truck.
