great for the price

This review is for pedals that have one side that is not flat and have an SPD clamp on both sides. I mounted them on my road bike and did a short ride so can't comment on their durability. The clampless mechanism works flawlessly and they are light enough. The description says the bearings are self-lubricating, meaning they are essentially oil-soaked bushings. If the quality is high enough, they should last a long time without the need for lubrication. This also allows them to keep the pedalโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pedals and cleats
Cons
  • I won't say anything

They're pretty bad. Even in the lowest clamping position, they didn't release my shoes. (Luckily I put them on my recumbent trike and not my bike, otherwise I would definitely have fallen). I couldn't figure it out until I ran my finger over the tip holding parts. The workmanship is terrible! There are metal burrs from the factory die/brake - enough to cut your finger - digging into the spikes. I have SPD on 2 hang gliders and 4 bikes. I've never been able to get out. One bike has a similarโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sports and outdoor activities
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Ideal for trying out contactless pedals!

Note: I can't say much about the durability as I've only had these pedals for about a month. During that time I drove them about 200 miles. I had a pair of caps on my bike, but I've always been interested in clipless pedals. Still, I wanted to be able to hop on my bike and go shopping without worrying about what shoes I was wearing. These combo pedals were a good decision. I knew I wanted to try combo pedals but a set of Shimano combo pedals was $80-100. I didn't want to invest that much moneyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • Very expensive
