Mixed opinions about it. I've had two for over a year, one on my trail bike and one on my XC. Pressure from other drivers convinced me to replace them "or I die". So I replaced them with Truvativ stems and the Wake stems now live on my friend's XC and we borrowed friends' spare XCs. What can I say? Really good rod for $10. I ride a hardtail unicycle through the desert. Nothing too challenging, but there's the odd 3-4 feet in the flush. For security reasons I hope I just received a brand new or defective unit. The steering bolts are screwed in and keep the steering wheel in order. The steerer tube pinch bolts are not tight enough to hold the steerer tube and the bolt seat will strip when tightened. After finally getting my stripped screws out, I bought some higher quality screws to use. Still could not tighten enough to prevent slipping around the head tube. One of the screws actually snapped.
