Mountain Woods Thick Striped Congo Wood Cutting Board for Kitchen Chopping and Butcher Block - 18 Review

Holds up well, looks good in my kitchen. I live in a drier climate so I oil it at night at least every other month but it always looks brand new.

I was looking for something big and blocky to put other decks on top of. All requirements were thus fully met. I also like the two different wood colors. No regrets and it came earlier than stated.

It was a very nice board but my knives seem to cut wood very easily. I have knife grooves around the perimeter. All in all, it serves its purpose and looks good on the counter. If I oil it, it looks a lot better. I just thought it was made of harder wood.

Well I ordered this product because the description said it was 18x15 and it was exactly the size I needed, to my dismay it was 18x12. This is a very nice product, I have just didn't fit size. I washed and treated it before using it exactly according to the instructions and before I even used it it broke. It's definitely not a boos block, but for the price it's decent.

This cutting board is worth the price. I have looked at several cutting boards in this price range and there is nothing that compares. Ktv looks amazing and I have no plans to take it off my desk. To be honest, you could see a similar cutting board for $100 in some stores. My only complaint was that the board must have fallen off at some point during transport and there is a small dent on the side of the cutting board. Otherwise 5 stars.

Bought this as a gift for my parents whose old cutting board was looking run down. Cutting boards are not heirlooms! Let go! This is a very high quality, durable board that looks great on the counter. It's quite heavy and thick, so it's best used as a stationary chopping board rather than a chopping board. It's not easy to lift it to scrape the ingredients into the pot. But there's enough room on the sides to scrape it onto a plate and then at least put it in a pan. As another reviewer…

Beautiful, big, strong, heavy and thick. There are finger grooves on the sides so you can lift them easily. This is exactly the type of chopping board/cutting board I was looking for. BUT. My board does NOT look as nice and stain free as in the photo. The wood in the mine is definitely inferior.
