Nice Compromise the very best in GPS accessories

I also have an Edge 705 and don't want to throw money on it and just upgrade it for a better fit. This little dad made it possible. I use this with a K-Edge mount, they are like peanut butter and jelly!

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Communication with Seller

Goes well with base

Please note that this adapter does not include the base. This is a flat base that attaches with two rubber bands for other edges with a 1/4 turn. This adapter fills in between the 705 and the base mount. Fits well so far.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Requires base

Works great, allows me to use my Garmin 705 GPS with the quarter turn mount used on the newer Garmin GPS's. Fits the back of my 705 and snaps securely into place. Then I grab my 705 with that click and it just mounts to a quarter turn mount on the bike, easily removes it from there and stays strong and secure throughout the ride.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Their bike racks are very high quality and very aerodynamic)

I bought this to use with a Garmin Edge 705 and a K-Edge front bike rack (K-Edge subliminal review - give (Your bike racks are very high quality and very aerodynamic) This adapter works amazingly well. Very cute. Easy to attach. Very sure. (not that Garmin mounts for this model). Result. This little gadget is a great way to put an old Garmin on a bike. This makes your cycling experience safer, more comfortable and ultimately more enjoyable.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Don't use it with Tate Labs Barfly 2.0 to install Garmin 705

I bought it to use with Tate Labs Barfly 2.0. It seemed to work great with my Garmin 705 at first, but after a few uses and some barfly fatigue, the barfly broke and my Garmin started going downhill at 30mph. I was never able to find my Garmin due to the uneven and grassy roadside terrain. I spoke to a Tate Labs rep and he said that the Barfly 2.0 should never be used with the Garmin 705 because during testing they saw glitches in this working together. So Tate Labs really isn't to blame. I…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok
