It's hard to describe what we used it for but we had to remove the drawer from the bathroom vanity to make room for the plumbing. Wanted to attach the front of the drawer to keep the look of the cabinet but wanted to be able to remove it should there be a supply issue in the future. Holds the front of the drawer perfectly and can be easily removed if necessary.

Well they still use weak screws. I knew from other reviews that I had to pre-drill the holes. Unfortunately, 4 screws broke off on the first two bolts. This was the case even when using a manual screwdriver. The latches seem strong, only the screws are very weak and almost useless. Just plan to save better quality screws.

Firstly I wouldn't call the 30 lb pull force of these magnets. I would say 5 to 8 pounds of boost. The slotted holes through which you attach the magnets to the cabinets could be a bit longer. As you can see in the picture, the screws are near the edge of the tree. I may need to put a small piece of wood behind the screws in the future to attach the magnet a little more tightly. Otherwise they work quite well.

2 screws sheared off during assembly despite pre-drilled holes! Probably zinc or some other weak alloy considering how easily they cut. The magnet itself seems fine. Many cabinets are made from solid wood (cherry, maple, etc.) so pre-drilling is a must. But you don't want to get too big. Start with a small drill hole, but if you need a lot of force to turn the screw, increase the size. Should be firm but not too heavy to accommodate the screws.

EDIT: The company was quick to respond to my concerns about faulty screws. They assured me they would replace the screws with stronger ones and offered a replacement/refund. Great customer service! The heads of the included screws come loose from the rest of the screw when tightened. I've now installed screwless magnetic locks and random screw boxes in my cabinets that I can't get out. But I can't get them back because I've successfully installed several of them.

They keep the cabinet door closed if you close it all the way. Catch the plate and keep it closed. And then it takes next to nothing to open the door when it's closed, so it's too easy (in my opinion) for it to accidentally open. Their installation is no more difficult than with other case fittings. Sometimes it's difficult to get everything lined up correctly because you can't see where everything is with the doors closed, but if you're patient and use paper to mark, you can set it up in under
