These metal spools are much stronger than thin plastic spools. The slightly higher acquisition costs made this decision easy for me. Upon arrival I was even happier with the quality of the coils. Then remember, the metal is easy to recycle and doesn't take forever to break down back into its elements. Do yourself and the planet a favor and buy them. You'll be glad you did when you get them, use them and, if it ever comes to that, hire them.

I am repairing 2 sewing machines and found that I need bobbins. They fit both my singer and my brother and they work quite well. Came in a good set, good quantity for a low price and even a small resealable tote bag (cheap but resealable) that works until I find a sortable one. Once I have more thread in stock I plan to order 2 more sets so I have plenty of custom color spools ready.
