Cheap and shiny replacement parts cleaner

buy this now make sure you get the hole and don't hit anything along the way. Solid purchase, doesn't match my block. Still shiny after a year of non-use.

Pros
  • easy to use
Cons
  • old

Bad Product: Engine Cooling and Climate Control

Good looking but light weight. Wouldn't seal properly. And I tried to tighten it, and immediately there was a cracking noise in the neck. Went to local parts store, bought another cheaper one, installed and works great.

Pros
  • GOLS Certification
Cons
  • Upgrade Availability

Suitable for 87 350 TBI

Worked on 87 350 TBI. I got tired of using both the paper gasket and the included o-ring and it leaked. Took the paper gasket off and just used the o-ring and I've had no leaks. Looks good too! The only thing is if you have a TBI there are some ground wires that can be attached to one of the screws. These do NOT come with the studs that my original had. So if you have a TBI you also need to reuse the old one or those ground wires are somewhere else.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Quality

Looks good, failed immediately, don't buy

Installed on Chevy 305 with Weiand 8125. Dry o-ring at first but leaked before pressure started. Took it off and installed wet with an o-ring and black silicone sealant. It made a seal, but the hull itself failed after the engine reached operating temperature and coolant spurted all over the engine bay and fender. Don't buy a flimsy, flimsy aluminum casting. Looks good, good chrome, failed immediately.

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not so happy anymore. Perfect fit for my 1978 Corvette

UPDATED. Perfect fit for my '78 Corvette. It can be difficult to install the o-ring correctly as it gets folded during shipping. Bought this for a new Edelbrock header. UPDATE: After two years, coolant started leaking. I noticed that the o-ring is a bit flattened. dry and seal with HT RTV. is still leaking. Dried and cleaned parts, paste the gasket with sealing adhesive, still seeping through. I take everything apart and check the surfaces with a ruler. That's ridiculous.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • No instructions

Not very impressed

Oooh looks good everything is bright and shiny; Yes, that's right. But for a moment I thought of plastic. Yes, it was barely the weight of the ancient Chinese original. It's hard to believe that a 1970 CST-10 only has 20,000 miles; but it's totally shocking that the rusty remote thermostat housing was made in China. Sad immediately stomped on his neck. But back to the plastic replacement for the chrome dome body. It's not actually plastic, but it's thin enough to weigh like plastic. I said it…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Functionality

Screws and quality product but not quite fitting.

I bought this for my 1990 Camaro 305tbi. There was only one review so I was a little nervous about buying it that it wouldn't fit at all. The product physically fits and bolts to the intake manifold. The flange is approximately 1/8 inch smaller than the stock thermostat housing. This keeps the consumption part visible, which isn't a big deal, but it's something you should be aware of. I had another problem with the supplied seal. The seal is an O-ring that fits into a groove in the housing. I…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
