It would be perfect except.

It doesn't have a little bar you can slide right along the edge so the pressure can hold the edge of the table and what you're measuring. If you're looking at a regular character square, this is what I wanted. Otherwise this is a good ruler. It is durable and the measurements are very easy to read. It has both metric and imperial systems.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Repair

It's halfway misnumbered

It's funny that it's misnumbered on one side of the rulers, showing inches from smallest to largest, but smaller increments between inches from largest to smallest. For example, from 1 to 2 on quarter inch marks it reads: 1, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 2. Otherwise everything would be fine. It's too late to bring him back, but at least I can warn you all about his ridiculous failure.

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • So-so

Everything I want in a T-Bracket

This is a T-Bracket that has been machined from a single piece of steel and then blackened. It includes both imperial and metric measurement systems. The steel is so thick I didn't even think to bend it. It even includes a custom clear pouch/carry bag. The only thing I don't think it has is the cork strip on the back that many other rules have. I mostly use mine for sewing so cork would be a minus rather than a plus for me.

Mr. Pen - Impeccable Customer Service

I informed the seller of what I believe to be a flaw in their product which is that the T-Square head lays flat against the body rather than having a protrusion which you refer to it in your work. I fixed this by gluing a piece of hardwood to the head with epoxy. They asked if I would like a refund and I said no, just wanting to give my point of view on how to improve the product. I ordered this T-Square because it has a metal head while others have plastic heads. I still got my money back. I…

Well made but NO ridge/burr to align

This is a solid, well made, all metal tee. The markings and measurements are clear and I like to measure along the top crossbar. A surprising downside, unlike more traditional T-square styles, is that there is no ridge or protrusion to attach a crossbar to your work for secure alignment. The two parts of the T are perfectly even and flat, so you need to line it up by eye and make sure you don't move it. this "feature" when I used it often for precise work.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Packaging issues and possible damage

The T-Bracket came in a large paper-lined box that lay on top of the plastic-wrapped T-Bracket. However, the top of the plastic shell was sheared off, possibly because the T-square was pushed into the plastic. The pressure of the measuring sticks is slightly erased. I agree, but it's a warning to the seller that the packaging needs to stabilize the ruler so the sharp edges don't cut through the plastic sleeve. Other than that it's a good product with easy to read markings on both sides of the…

Read the specs otherwise it's great

This is a very strong metal T-ruler. Black on white. I think I should have read a bit as I assumed this was a 24 inch ruler that would fill the full depth of my art table, but that was my mistake. The only thing I suspected, like every T-line I've ever used, was a little lip on the T-section for you to hook onto the workstation to make sure your line is perpendicular. Instead, the whole thing is a single piece of metal. If that's your preference, it's 5 stars. I can find that I prefer to…

Everything in this line is great, but there's one thing.

This ruler is easy to read and can be easily rotated and hung next to a table. I measured mine with a very precise ruler and the markings were accurate. But here she failed. There's no bumper, so you can press it against the edge of the table, the medium you're working with, or a pillow. own. I created a piece that fits over the T-shaped portion of the ruler, forming a ledge to be hooked to the edge of the table by the very edge of the T. I made a second piece that fits exactly to the…
