Not sure if there is an age recommendation? They have an odor but they are mild. They draw like regular colored pencils, not too wobbly? Not very suitable for small children. My grandson is 2 years old and he twists and breaks them all the time. Broken parts cannot be used again, they simply fall out. That would be good for older kids.

Once upon a time when you were Mr. Sketch, that was a big problem. Now as a parent I bought these crayons looking for a fun alternative as my son isn't ready for markers yet. Unfortunately, these crayons had absolutely no smell. Only 3 out of 8 crayons had a noticeable odor. Instead, I buy crayons with a crayon scent.

I love these markers. If you are looking for a good chalk for small spaces, such as B. an adult coloring book, this is not the best option. I mainly use them for things I color for my class (I teach 3rd grade), for coloring merchandise for my Teachers Pay Teachers Store, and for backgrounds in my adult coloring books. I like the color quality. The scents aren't as strong as Mr. Sketching, but still smell just as good. Because they are rolled up, they are easy to handle and do not get dirty.
