Very good but a bit difficult to install

I've had many goat and spike dwellings in the Arizona desert until I installed them on my Rad Rovers. Now I can plow anything with the confidence that it won't fall down the pipe. Also, line the tire with old cut inner tubes for an extra layer of protection over the tuff. Still pulling out spikes after rides but no flats or leaks so far. A little difficult to install and you need a little patience. Inflate your tube a little to fit the tire and place the tuff on top of the tube. It takes some…

Excellent puncture protection on a bike with fat tires

After suffering a puncture from hitting a flat tire, I first replaced the bike tube with a sturdy one and then added this Mr. Tuffy. Since then no problems. My bike has fat 20" tires, but Mr. Tuffy only makes 4" tires for 26" lengths. As it turns out, this isn't a problem. I simply cut off the excess length with sharp scissors. Supposedly this liner added a little to the rotating weight of my bike tires but I didn't notice. Rather, he added more security to my trip, knowing I was far less…

It's not cheap but so far so good

I have 4 fat bikes, a 2nd gen Pugsly, a 'Black Ops' Pugsly and an ice cream truck and now a big fat dummy and I have rubber used covers them all. I cut and split an old fat tube and bolted it to my workbench, taped 2 punctured smaller tire liners together into one, then rubber taped it to the stretched and cut tube and to my fat tires. They'll work, but they're fatter and clumsier than Mr. Tuffy, they're better. I have a pair for my dummy and will probably buy another for my ICT, Pugsly are no…

Wow the quality has gone down

I bought Tuffies for my recumbent a long time ago, probably 15 years ago. The quality was excellent. I encountered glass, sharp stones, spikes, nails, screws! You name it and I have an apartment. As? The nail was au shaped and when I walked in it went through the sidewall of the tire. Well, one review I read said they put a pin in it and threw it away! The? It may not be true but unfortunately it is, I tried it too and it worked! So in principle. Unfortunately, hitting glass, screws, nails or…

Overpriced, dubious protection. Keep expectations low.

First of all, no liner will make your bike tires invulnerable. You can't plow through the world carefree and expect never to get an apartment. This liner, like all liners, just adds something that can sometimes help you avoid flat tires. Don't expect more. I installed them on my 65 pound e-bikes with fat 20x4 tires. This is a terrible price for what you get. They should be more like $10 for a tire. Spending $35 a tire on this product is insane. Considering how flimsy this supplement is, it's a…
