First of all, no liner will make your bike tires invulnerable. You can't plow through the world carefree and expect never to get an apartment. This liner, like all liners, just adds something that can sometimes help you avoid flat tires. Don't expect more. I installed them on my 65 pound e-bikes with fat 20x4 tires. This is a terrible price for what you get. They should be more like $10 for a tire. Spending $35 a tire on this product is insane. Considering how flimsy this supplement is, it's a plagiarism. The installation is a giant PITA. You have to remove the wheels from the bike and remove the tires from the rims. There are no two options here. Your friend told you it's possible. He's full of it. There is no way to properly install this without removing the wheels from the bike and the tires from the rims. You will need to cut the sealant regardless of your tire size, and there is no sure way of knowing exactly how much to cut. However, if you cut off too much, you will be left with an unprotected area. If you cut too little, there will be too much overlap and your tire will become unbalanced. I suggest that you aim for an inch or two of overlap when the tire is fully inflated. Plus it's too much and it'll be annoyingly unbalanced when driving. The lining must be perfectly centered, otherwise there will be problems with driving again. He is very temperamental. Put the base on, get air in the tube, adjust the base, put the tire on the rim, ventilate a little, massage, ventilate a little, massage, ventilate a little more, done. This is a process and you have to be very patient with it. Each wheel takes 20 minutes if you know what you're doing and everything works. However, it took me two hours to make four wheels. Even with a perfect fit, your tires will at least have a slight imbalance that will likely only become a nuisance/problem at higher speeds. My e-bikes go up to 26mph with 225lb riders. At speeds above 20 km/h you start to feel imbalanced. I would not recommend these liners over 25 mph. Perfomance? I don't know yet, time will tell. They are unlikely to withstand really sharp objects. I cut them with regular household scissors as if they were paper, so you should be able to tell right away. Very questionable on nails, glass, sharp rocks, nails, shells, etc. If they're sharp and long enough to reach the inner tube, it probably won't help prevent flatness. Less sharp objects, maybe short objects. So why did I buy this and proceed with the installation knowing from the start that it was a plagiarism, basically a fake solution? Because even if it only reduces the chances of finding an apartment by 25%, it's worth it for me. My wife and I are not avid bikers. We just want to drive and calm down. Installing these earbuds doesn't mean we suddenly try to plow through things like we're superhumans. Would I buy them again? Probably no. I think next time I'll invest in better tires and the chance of a puncture probably going down by the same amount. It's the best I could do right now, and you should probably tell yourself that if you decide to get her.
