🕒 Mudder Clock Movement, Short Hands, 4/25 Inch Max Dial Thickness, 3/5 Inch Shaft Length Review

I bought this clock to replace the movement in a desk clock my son made and gave to me about 25 years ago. I work and run the perfect time.

We specifically chose this clock motor kit to replace ours because it advertised short 2 inch hands for our small clock. It arrived quickly but it was the wrong block. All the hands were too long for my small watch. Luckily the hands of the old clock motor fit the new one. Problem solved. Anyone need long arms?

I would like to add a hole in the box for hanging like my original. I have not yet figured out how to hang the refurbished clock as the box/clock is quite thick so the clock does not hang flush with the wall as the hanging mechanism needs to be attached to the back of the clock not the box. But the watch keeps time very well.

This mechanism was meant to replace the old one on the clock that was starting to lose time. It is very accurate, easy to install and fits my watch perfectly. The only thing I didn't like was the style of the hands. I wanted one with slimmer hands but couldn't find one that matched my watch. I don't care how the hands of my watch look, but they work great and tell the perfect time, so I'm happy with style.

My old clock died after 30 years. It was a great sunbeam with temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. I couldn't throw it away because it has been with me for more than half my life. The dimensions of the movement were very similar to the original. However, the arms were different lengths and colors. After receiving the product, I painted the hands to match the original. Out with the old and in with the new. The clockwork works like a charm. Keeps time very well.

I have a vintage Bookstone Bramd table clock with a short overall length and thread quartz movement. This Mudder quartz movement has the shortest overall length I could find for my watch on the market. In my case, the overall length of this quartz movement was too long for my table clock. To prevent the second hand from touching the glass cover of this watch, I had to use longer screws for the back cover of the watch (so the dial is a bit recessed than before).
