$$ worth of protective gear

Worked for my 10 year old son. He broke his nose 2 months ago and I took him in after the surgery so he could play basketball. This gave him the confidence that he could play without fear of hurting his nose again. . He says it's handy, especially since we used the thicker pads that came with it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Very expensive

good for a basketball player after breaking his nose

worked really well for my son who broke his nose playing basketball. Let it come back without worrying about it breaking again too soon. For some reason the opponents were also intimidated. He didn't shoot very well but he could play and it looked good. it is worth the money

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • not reliable

Not worth the money - Baseball

This was purchased for my son in high school. This was necessary to protect a broken nose playing basketball. He was very disappointed with this for two reasons: first, he said it blocked his peripheral vision, and second, the straps were flimsy and kept coming loose. We would no longer buy cheaply produced sports products. Not worth the cost.

DO NOT use for wrestling or wrestling!

Difficult to install with very little direction when properly assembled. The product moves easily and does not stay in place. I hurt my nose during the fight because the shield slipped off a contact that would otherwise have missed my nose. Recommended only for sports where contact is very unlikely and sporting activity does not cause movement.

In my opinion, however, it does its job very well

Broke my nose a few times and was considering making a custom face mask for a few hundred bucks. Decided to try this before hundreds were given out and so far it's been a pleasant surprise. It's shockproof, I've hit it in the face with elbows and basketballs and it didn't get near my nose. It doesn't look very nice, but I think it does its job very well.

Not good for wrestling

Delivered quickly but did absolutely nothing to protect broken nose. My son had this mask on, I squeezed it and pressed it against his nose, so when that happened I just squeezed it, you can imagine if he really got hit in the face. My son is into wrestling and there is a lot of clapping and crossface in tournaments so I do NOT recommend this for wrestling. My son said it was uncomfortable to move and actually hurt his nose instead of protecting it.

Slippery mask on protective gear

Should be ok for some low face contact sports like football or basketball but definitely not for Brazilian jiu-jitsu or wrestling. The mask will always slip and move no matter how tight you fit it to your face. I rolled over yesterday and the mask slipped sideways and actually broke my nose even though it was supposed to protect it. An extra strip at the top would probably help a little, but I don't know how much. I don't know how this mask was tested, but it doesn't appear to have been combat…

Good protection, may reduce vision

I broke my nose playing soccer saw this and immediately caught my attention, although there were bad reviews I still wanted to try it on. Thanks to this mask, I was able to return to the game faster than the doctors told me. Also, I went to real games, played and really hit the ball with my head without the nose being uncomfortable, the mask never moved. The only overrated factors I would find are visibility and how much sweat gets into your eyes when you sweat a lot. Otherwise, the mask has…

Don't buy if you care about your nose.

Item arrived on time from Amazon Prime so I had no problems. However, the mask itself didn't even do what it was supposed to do and was extremely uncomfortable. It actually gave me a headache, and to top it off, the first time someone came into contact with it, THE ENTIRE PUNCH WAS RIGHT IN MY NOSE. There was literally no bump anywhere on my face except my nose. Actually I have a cut on the bridge of my nose where the mask cut me, I'm bruising again and now I have to leave work to go to my ENT…
