Nice little drill. good for me

I like this little drill but I wish it was a bit sturdier. It is hard to decide sometimes - if an instrument would be sturdy enough for your needs. This little drill would work ok on thin plastic, balsa wood, etc. It will not drill any hard woods. I build musical instruments and do crafting, but I'd use my dremel on any sturdy items, rather than this. BTW, didn't work to ream beads. Hard to control if attempting to use as engraving.

Pros
  • I love that the product is lightweight and works really well. Love it!
Cons
  • The drill bits tend to get dull quickly and require frequent sharpening

It works. NON standard bit size

Here's the deal, it does work. Not really on hard metals or hard stuff, but I was able to get some small holes drilled in 2mm carbon fiber sheet. The drill itself is powerful enough for small hobby use. However, the bit shank size is like 2 mm or something. NOT dremel bit size/pcb drill bit size. Not only that, but the bits aren't exactly easy to get. I'm sure you can get ahold of them, and buy bits. But who has time for that? This should have been built to accept the STANDARD pcb bit…

Pros
  • It has been working very well for me. Thank you!
Cons
  • The multifunctional mini electric drill kit is not suitable for heavy-duty tasks

Constant hassle: my feedback

So I've seen countless people use this device for their minis. I think mine is defective, because every time I use it the chuck come loose and comes right off. Not happy at all!

Pros
  • Easy to hold and use
Cons
  • The drill is not powerful enough to tackle tough materials like metal or concrete

wowstick not that wow

First the positives: This drill is similar in size to pen or pencil with a slightly large diameter so that it is easy to manipulate on small projects. The drill has a long battery life and is easily recharged with its attachable cord. This drill comes with multiple bits which are all small which is good for smaller projects but would not be suitable for larger projects. The big negative. The drill has a chuck that is tightened with finger pressure and is made of plastic. On any projects with…

Pros
  • It works but battery charge seems to discharge somewhat quickly
Cons
  • Working on plastic tabletop models and the bit broke within 5 uses....

If you are a hobbyist this is a game changer

This is an amazing tool that has changed the way I think about my hobbying. This is a magnificent set, highly recommend if you are putting any conversion work into miniatures or pinning delicate parts stop wasting your time and get this today!

Pros
  • Upgraded power supply: Upgrade the type-c charging port to charge faster and easier, eliminating the cumbersome use of wired plug-ins. The lithium battery design brings more efficient use and improves desktop and portable experience.
Cons
  • The kit is not versatile enough to be used in a wide range of applications

A lot of fun to use

It doesn’t cut as fast as I would like, but it is a pin vice, and a manual one would cut about the same. The learning curve on it is pretty short.

Pros
  • Power Tools
Cons
  • The kit is expensive and not worth the price

I was given this for a Christmas gift and I love it. I've drilled hundreds of holes to pin and drill out the barrels for my 40k armies and they seem to still do as well as the first day I got them. The drill bit sizes are perfect for most if not all barrels I have come across (Bolters, Shootas, Exhaust pipes, Lasguns, and many more). It is amazing how long it holds a charge. I don't know how to quantify it into something meaningful to you, but I have not had to charge it for drilling out an…

Pros
  • Model wood ship building
Cons
  • The drill bits included in the kit are not of high quality and tend to break easily

Great product for miniature work

Overall very happy with it. I have been looking for such a drill with which you have more control when drilling small objects. I would have wished that there were a few more sizes for the drill bits or maybe can be purchased separately as replacement in case they do break over time.

Pros
  • I hate the manual pin vice, so this item was perfect for me.
Cons
  • The kit is not durable and may break after a few uses

Great tool, no instructions on assembly

Mine arrived with the bit holder unassembled, and it was a nightmare until I figured out how to join the parts together. Once that was done, it was excellent.

Pros
  • Drills
Cons
  • The drill bits are not long enough to reach deep crevices and tight spaces

Depends what you use it for I guess

I got this as a companion to the Wowstick screwdriver. It was an impulse buy. I thought I could use it for my jewelry-making hobby as it is advertised as being good for wood, resin, and beads. It can drill through wood, resin, and hardened polymer clay, but it seems to me like it's struggling and it goes through a charge quickly. Am I pressing too hard? Even when not drilling it doesn't seem to have a lot of oomph.

Pros
  • Because it's cordless, this drill kit is perfect for taking on-the-go and completing projects wherever you may be
Cons
  • The kit is not suitable for outdoor use due to its limited battery life

My quick access dremel alternative

I’ve tried a number of these mini drills and this is by far my favorite. It holds a charge, actually has drilling strength, and looks badass.A lot of times I’ll be working on a project that I simply need to drill one or two small holes in. It’s annoying to go get a full sized drill or do the whole dremel setup. I keep this pen drill right at my craft desk and can quickly drill what I need and move on with my project. There’s tons of these to try on revain, and if you’re on the fence, try this…

Pros
  • If you have to pin a miniature for mini war games, this is what you need for sure!
Cons
  • The one-touch control pen drill is not accurate enough for precision tasks

Be carful with it in my review

Lasted me a good 4 months. Was one of the best purchases I’ve made for my hobby. I can drill gun barrels on my 40k minis all day. The moment I let some of my friends use it they bought one for themselves. But after 4 months it’s lost all of its torc. The second I apply any sort of pressure on a point the drill stops.

Pros
  • Works great for my modeling, so far, another great tool for my modeling.
Cons
  • The drill bits are not organized in a convenient manner, making it difficult to find the right one for the task at hand

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very easy to use. best in my review

This little drill is very handy. So far I have only drilled plastic. In fact, that is the reason I bought the drill. FYI all of the drill bits have a 3/8" shank. Replacements may be difficult to find.

Pros
  • Fun: Whether you're a seasoned craftsman or just starting out, creating something with your own two hands provides a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction
Cons
  • The one-touch control pen drill is not suitable for individuals with limited dexterity or finger strength

Great for Model Building/Wargame Crafting

I bought this drill after seeing it used by a few Warhammer YouTubers, and I’ve found it very much to my liking. In the past I’ve drilled the barrels of guns on my Warhammer 40k miniatures using a hand-driven drill called a pin vise, which works fine for very tiny holes, but loses grip and slides to the side on bigger or deeper holes. I was nervous about using a powered drill on such fine work, but the beauty of this drill is that the motor is more powerful than your hand, but way less powerful

Pros
  • Affordable: Compared to other high-end electric drill kits, this one is budget-friendly, making it perfect for DIYers or those just starting out
Cons
  • The drill bits are not interchangeable, limiting their usefulness in different applications

Save your money or just buy a dremel style grinder

So I backed this on Kickstarter and it was nothing like what was promised and the fact that they are selling it on revain after the very negative reviews from the Kickstarter is just a disgrace honestly it really needs to be taken off the site and gives the wowstick screwdriver a bad name just by association

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • The kit is not suitable for left-handed users

A Must Have! best in my review

I use this drill more than I would have thought I would ever need it. On a submarine model, I was able to drill out every drain opening on the sub. Over 500 on one model alone. There was no way I could have done this as easily and quickly with a finger drill. You need this.

Pros
  • Easy to Use: The one-touch control pen drill makes it simple to switch between functions, and the lightweight design ensures easy maneuverability
Cons
  • The drill bits tend to slip and scratch the work surface, ruining the project

Not worth 50 dollars. struggles to go through epoxy and the drill bit will not remain tight while drilling. worst investment ever. Saddened because i like the pen design.

Pros
  • for real, just get it. if you do miniatures it is just as good as you want it to be
Cons
  • The rechargeable cordless drill takes a long time to charge and has a short battery life

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great tool that performs great.

I have used the Wowstick for approximately 1 month on various hobby projects requiring micro drilling and it has replaced my Dremel tool and my Proxxon Micromot for precision drilling. The tool is solidly constructed with a weighty but compact design. The torque is sufficient to drill most hard plastics and some wood without catching or snagging. I have not attempted metal yet. The bits are sturdy and have not broken after a month of regular use. The battery charge has been very good and it…

Pros
  • This drill is perfect for my miniature house hobby. Can drill holes where a Dremel can't reach.
Cons
  • The one-touch control pen drill is too small and uncomfortable to grip for extended periods

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great but doesn’t work with other bits

Love the concept, but the fact that it is not compatible with other bits bugs me. It comes with a set of drill bits that uniquely fit the drill. Not a good selling point for a mini drill when bits that small break quite often!

Pros
  • This drill is the size of an ink pen but made went through drywall like a champ.
Cons
  • The drill bits are not labeled, making it difficult to identify the size and type of bit

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Expensive noise maker

The thing came with no drill bits. I have one that fits. Would have returned it but through box away to soon. Every expensive noise maker. Sounds good just can’t use.

Pros
  • Long-Lasting
Cons
  • The kit is not suitable for individuals with poor eyesight or coordination
