No power cord included

that solved my coax and no power problem but I had to buy a power adapter and once it was plugged in my 5 megapixel camera only worked in black and white. buy returns.

Saved the day on a critical install.

We professional installers encountered a situation where a previous installation (not ours) was done with local power and only coax cables were run at home. During the repair, the local power supply was cut off and the damaged cells were in a critical location. We tried using alternative wires but this proved impossible due to the nature of the design. These units saved the day.

Pros
  • Stable Test Results
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Works but has flaws

First let me say that this worked for me in that it allowed me to get video in a place where I had coax but no power. It does a good job of powering the camera and returning video to the DVR. However, there are 2 downsides - 1. The video quality for me is not as sharp as my other cameras that don't have adapters. 2. This is probably the biggest disadvantage for me - PIR is not supported by my cameras. This option does not appear on my DVR when connected through these adapters. The cameras Iโ€ฆ

Allows power and video to be transmitted over the same coaxial cable.

I had an older reversing camera and monitor in my RV. He used a single coaxial cable to carry power from the monitor to the camera and video from the camera to the monitor. Device blocks require a separate power supply for the monitor and camera. Instead of running a new power cable for the camera I used these blocks. I installed a unit in the cabin and connected the power wires to the ignition and the video to the monitor. I installed another unit behind the camera and connected the videoโ€ฆ
