Difficult to duplicate. Must be programmed

The keys are slightly thicker than the original, which makes copying difficult. Also remember that you need to program these keys so that they can actually start the car. You can manually program the doors to lock and unlock, but not start the car.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Terrible quality - anti-theft device

Item arrived in pieces and I wasn't able to put them all together correctly. Our key fob buttons are all bent and when the key fob's plastic shell was inserted, it did not click properly. Also, a small piece of charcoal was not attached to the plastic case and didn't fit into the plastic case when I tried to put all the pieces together.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Communication with seller

I put 5 because the original Honda keys.

I'm giving this a 5 because Honda OEM keys are $85. There may be other ways to do this, but what worked for me is: 1). calling honda and signing up for key fob programming cost her $68 in nc.2 excluding taxes). bring it to.3). drive him away Both new keys worked. The only strange thing is that the transponder was rattling, they said there was no place to put it. I can open it and glue it, but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Save your money - go for OEM

Bought two of these keys. I spent $60 on a locksmith to cut these keys and another $50 to program them on my 2006 Honda Accord. My car didn't recognize the transponders of either key. The original OEM key is programmed correctly so I didn't argue with the locksmith. So I lost $110 on cheap Chinese knockoffs. Who will return this money for my efforts? Return these keys to try and get at least $20 back. Save money and buy genuine Honda parts.

Works great for anti theft

I ordered 2 packs for 19.99 and they arrived in two days. I knew I needed Locke Smith to cut and program it, so I called three different places to get pricing. The first said $20 was pretty cheap and he wouldn't trust it because the chip in it probably wouldn't work and I would still have to pay for it even if it didn't work. That worried me, so I called someone else. He said no problem and that was the best price. Locke Smith edited and programmed it in 15 minutes. {$120 for 2} Buttons work…

Very expensive, annoying and generally very difficult!

Only 2 stars for not stating that the key would not start the car even after being cut and programmed! Also, only certain locksmiths can make the key, and that's expensive! I tried going to several places where keys couldn't be cut. I even went to a Honda dealer who told me they can only cut/program keys bought direct from them. One day I finally found a locksmith with the right cutting machine and paid $75 to have two keys cut. The locksmith told me that I would probably need to program the…
