Through trial and error, I found that the MuxLab VGA Balun II Kit is a great solution for extending VGA signals. The kit is easy to install and provides reliable and clear transmission of video signals over long distances. The electronics are durable and well-made, ensuring long-lasting performance. The only downside is the price, but the quality justifies the cost. Overall, a great investment for anyone needing to extend VGA signals in their surveillance video equipment.

We need to route a VGA signal from our DVR to our bedroom TV in a secure closet. Since we already have CAT6 cabling installed, these Muxlab units made things easy. What's also great is that these devices have pigtails compared to their competitors that require a separate VGA cable!

I ordered three of these for a last minute event. They were easy to set up, no setup required. As long as your cable runs are within spec and you send the appropriate clearance for the length of your cable run, that's GREAT. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an inexpensive EASY solution to send 720p analog video over 175ft.
