Get what you pay for.

fasteners are cheaper than factory equipment. The mounting screws are too short. They don't match the thickness of the door.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities.
Cons
  • socket required.

Cheap junk is good for clasps

The clasp breaks on first use. I had to replace many of them with another brand. I have contacted the company and they have not responded. This is the worst quality you can get.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

They work well but are cheaply made.

They work the way I wanted them to, but the build quality isn't what I expected. The entire block is very cheaply made from a lower quality polymer. The polymer that makes up the latch flexes more than it should. I'm not impressed.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • So-so

Long time to install.

The locks appear to be fine. Minus: the supplied screws are not quite the right length for the specified thickness, there are no instructions; no dimensional drawings (not even on their website). There must be better ones.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Looks solid but you need to get the right screws

Latch seems secure. The main issue is the hardware that comes with the latch. If your door is more than 3/8 inch (just under a centimeter) thick, you will need to purchase longer screws. The seller says they work with a material thickness of 12-17mm, but that does NOT apply to fittings. under the condition.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not bad

Good latch alternative to avoid shiny chrome on boats

As others have written in reviews. The hardware included doesn't allow for 1/2" thick plywood, you'll need longer hardware. The body and handle appear to be good plastic that can take some abuse, but the locking portion is likely to break first if not handled with care. DO NOT LATCH the latch.. If you want them to last longer, use common sense. It's plastic. Application: I installed it on 1/2" plywood with carpeting and with some trimming I got the latch to go with it brought to work 3/4" with…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell
