I don't usually take the time to write reviews but in this case I feel I should. Firstly, as others have pointed out, this is not galvanizing, it is silver colored, possibly with some zinc content. More importantly, one of the down produced has a very porous weld seam, almost as if it had been MIG welded without shielding gas. Check out the attached pictures. I think they're great. They work as they should. The only problem I had was that the pins didn't go all the way through the other side of the C channel, allowing you to put the cotter pin through the hole. I had to bend the C channel with a mini sledgehammer to make it work. The product was not well packaged. The D-rings on the 8 pack are all chipped off and scratched quite badly. This item fits perfectly in your pocket. This is very hard work. The D ring is what I was looking for. I have a problem with the clutch pin. The pin hole needs to be drilled about an eighth of an inch wider. It should now fit snugly against the edge of the pocket. The edge of the pocket keeps the cotter pin from getting in, but I managed to get three of the four in place. On the fourth I have to bend the clutch pin a little so it goes in far enough for the cotter pin to engage.

I have a 2018 carry-on tag. These D-rings are perfect for bags. Mytee Products D-Rings are designed for very heavy loads. They have a load capacity of 5400 pounds and are marked accordingly. I use tons of large farm equipment, IBCs of water, firewood, SUVs, hay, etc. As you know you use the bags on the trailer when considering this item. can be pain. Too narrow for chain attachments or some ratchet hooks, flimsy and may bend if you put chain hook directly on it. They are simply not suitable for transport. They solve this problem 100%. I see complaints about the packaging, the seller listened carefully. I ordered 8 of these. There were only 4 of these in a small box, each piece wrapped in styrofoam along with sachets to absorb moisture. The two small boxes were in a large double-walled thick box. This box was in another Revain box. No damage or even scratches on it. I have a 5 ton trailer with very large D rings welded to it, they are exactly the same size.
