The additional GREEN ground wire is very important, Please connect the ROUND TERMINAL of the green wire to the Grounding hole of 15AMP or 20AMP 125V household wall socket/outlet/power strip/extension cord etc. because the 10-30R socket does not has grounding wire. Nema 10-30P 3-Prong Dryer male plug, 30-AMP 125/250V to Nema 14-50R 4-Prong female receptacle 50AMP 250V. Connect the Nema 10-30P male plug to the female wall socket of Nema 10-30R, and plug the dryer 14-50P plug to the female cable socket (neam 14-50R). 10-AWG STW Heavy duty Cord 100% copper wire, durable and solid cord. Great EV Charger Adapter

If you have an electric car and a NEMA 10-30P dryer outlet, this is the adapter you need. Most electric vehicle chargers will not work without a ground wire. Sockets 10-30P have no ground, so simple 10-30P to 14-50P will not work. This adapter has a separate ground wire that easily connects to the ground of a standard 120V outlet.

A million views.

This option was PERFECT. I've looked at a million of them. we had to replace our new 4 pin dryer with a 3 pin outlet. You think it would be easy funny. It is not. At both ends of the cord there are all sorts of pins that have to fit together exactly. Luckily, Revane sent me a few each day until I found exactly what I needed. I've looked through hundreds and would have given up, but they supported me.

Ideal for Tesla Charger 14-50

I have a 2013 Tesla Model S and all I have in my house is an old fashioned garage dryer. This adapter is perfect for converting my old outlet to a newer, higher amperage plug provided by Tesla. NOTE: Just because your charger is rated for 50 amps does not mean you should use 50 amps through this adapter. The 10-30 outlet is only rated for 30 amps (you should only use 80% of that for safety reasons), so set your car to charge no more than 26 amps!
