Synology has announced a new NAS model for small business - DiskStation DS923+ in desktop form factor. The device, made on the AMD hardware platform, allows you to create a hybrid storage based on HDD and SSD. Applied processor Ryzen Embedded R1600 with two cores operating at a frequency of 2.6 GHz (rises to 3.1 GHz). The amount of RAM DDR4 ECC in the base configuration is 4 GB (expandable to 32 GB). The novelty can be equipped with four LFF or SFF drives with SATA-3 interface and hot-swap support. In addition, there are two M.2 connectors for NVMe 2280 solid-state modules. The declared read speed of information reaches 592 MB / s, the write speed is 562 MB / s.

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

Has some pros: • Finally, the ability to put a 10GbE adapter (E10G22-T1-Mini on Ali). • For the first time, two M.2 slots in a 4-bay model that allow you to power up a 10GbE mesh. • Powerful processor, easily takes out two dozen docker containers. • Synology DSM is still a masterpiece of OS for NAS. Has some cons: • AMD Ryzen R1600 does not have graphics cores and does not support hardware decoding. Don't count on 4K HDR decoding in Plex or Jellyfin on this model. An older model DS920+ may be p
