At first I was skeptical about buying them because I saw a lot of reviews where the stools were broken or didn't fit, but after seeing how good the customer service was I took a chance . I'm so glad I did! These stools are of excellent quality, look beautiful and the cushions are very comfortable. These stools are just what I was looking for. Simple classic design, but comfortable and functional. One of the stools had a short leg with no pre-drilled hole to attach a longer leg. If I had the right drill press I'd probably do it myself, but I don't have one, so. I contacted Nathan James support and received a quick response. I like the way they look. They are beautiful in the setting of my farmhouse on the coast. I love the way they look so much I bought a few for my own beach house. In practice, however, they are simply sparse. Screws and bolts will loosen every few times and you can re-tighten them, but wood will chip and crack even without over-tightening. Bought two received yesterday. This is generally a good product BUT they can be assembled incorrectly and the instructions for this issue are vague. The problem is how the legs are placed on the seat. There are 3(!) possible positions. Internal, external and vice versa. The back is pretty obvious because then the spider holes don't work.
